On 1 February 2021, the Canadian House of Commons Ethics Committee launched their investigation into MindGeek, the parent company of Pornhub, for hosting videos of child sexual abuse, rape, sex-trafficking, and non-consensually distributed content. The Ethics Committee opened the investigation by interviewing Serena, a survivor of image-based child sexual abuse distributed through Pornhub, and Michael Bowe, an American Lawyer who has been rigorously investigating MindGeek for almost a year.

European Network of Migrant Women joined feminist groups from the Global South in the submission made to the Canadian Ethics Committee on the occasion of their hearing on the case of MindGeek, the parent company of PornHub. The submission, titled "Global South and Migrant Women Brief" enumerates the cases of trafficking and sexual exploitation on the PornHub, of the women in/from the Global South and the migrant and European Women.
